Rather than apologize, he “smart-mouthed me back” and made the excuse that he had been busy. I said to myself, “what the …?” So, I went to the cashier and asked him why he hadn’t said anything to me when he saw me enter the café. When I finally flagged down a server, he then told me that I had to order and pay at the cashier. I sat at my table for more than ten minutes waiting for someone to come and take my order.
During this whole time the fellow at the cash register saw me and said nothing to me. I stood at the entrance waiting for a host to seat me… when no one came I followed the usual protocol and went in to seat myself.
It was my first time there and I didn’t know that I had to order and pay before entering the café. Very disappointed with the bad customer service I suffered at the Café 54 on Nov.
